I’m enamored by the ocean

I was raised by the Mediterranean in Alexandria, Egypt. The sea was my first love. In this ancient city, I was drawn to storytelling through art, photography, and journalism.

Yet, I started in the sciences, I earned an MSC in Physics and Climate Sciences from the University of Hamburg in Germany, where I studied the physics and biogeochemistry of the ocean.

From there, I spent over a decade in visual science communication, developing environmental storytelling for international NGOs and non-for-profits. My career has taken me across the globe—from the U.S. to Germany, France, Austria, and the UK, capturing the intersections of nature, science, and human impact.

That work led me, inevitably, to filmmaking, and I pursued an MA in Cinematography at MetFilm London.

Now, I bring the finesse of narrative style cinema to my documentary work, working primarily in the wildlife film industry, focusing on the oceans of our world.

UNDERWATER CAMERAWOMAN

I use advanced camera techniques and equipment to capture high quality footage that meets the standard and brand of my clients, and maintain visually appealing shots for their audiences.

I own my gear, and rent extra accessories as needed, but I am comfortable shooting on ARRI, RED, CANON, & SONY cameras. I also have experience filming with long, macro/prope, zoom, and prime lenses. In addition to maintaining and operating Nauticam Underwater Housing.
